How to fix distorted Simple Social Icons after Configuration of W3 Total Cache
oLike many bloggers I’m also a big fan of W3 Total
oIn start I’ve faced issue with Simple Social Icons
which were distorted after configuration of W3 Total
o I was wondering what the jumble is happened and
was looking for some resolution to renovate it.
oDistorted Simple Social Icons were looking horrible
as you can see the screen capture below. You can see
the letters instead of icons.
oI tried a few things but all botched.
oThen suddenly I realized that I’ve enabled the CSS
minifying settings and may be the CSS file of Simple
Social Icons is minified.
o My Minification settings are manual and I’ve added
the CSS files one by one in CSS Section for minification.
oI head over to “minify” tab of W3 Total Cache and
looked into the CSS minify section and found
oSo, I was right the file was minified and causing
oI simply deleted the file and saved the changes
oCleared minify, page cache and after that I was
able to see the little circular logos were back.
oYou can see the screen capture below.
You can also make changes into Minify » Advanced
section » Never minify the following CSS files:
icons/css/style.css” in the box and save the changes.
It will prevent the W3 Total Cache to minify the CSS file of
Simple Social Icons. You can add as many CSS files as you
do not want to be minified by W3TC.
