    1. How To Cut Hair - Why Would You Want To Learn How To Cut Hair? Written By :Sarah Anne Barnes "Why the hell would you want to learn how to cut hair?" That's what my mother asked me when I told her I fancied doing something different. I needed a challenge. It's what makes me tick, It's what keeps me going. Attempting something I've never done before. So I decided to take up the challenge of learning how to cut hair. So, back to the question of why would I want to learn how to cut hair. Why not? When you consider the benefits it can have, it can be a very rewarding skill to acquire. If you added up all the times you go to a hair salon and worked out the total cost, you would be pretty amazed. It's not just the financial cost of having your hair cut. There's the time you spend getting to and from the salon as well as the time spent in it. Then there's the cost of getting to and from the salon. There's the hassle of booking an appointment to get your hair done, no good if you are in some sort of rush for a last minute date or function. What an absolute farce it all is. And now you understand why I decided to learn how to cut hair myself. The thing is, now I've learned how to cut hair ( I'm still in the process of the learning curve), I can now cut hair whenever I want, any time of day or night, I can even cut hair on days when the salons are closed. I don't have to wait for an appointment, neither do any of my family or friends. They just call and I cut... It saves me money and also saves my friends money. Don't get me wrong, I'm no expert at cutting hair, I'm still learning the basics of how to cut hair, I'm not up to the standard of the more extravagant cuts but I'm getting there but don't let that stop you wanting to learn. I'm doing this gradually and at my leisure from the comfort of my own home. I don't need to attend some specialist course or hair tech college because I follow an easy home study course which again saves me money, time and unavoidable pressure. Do you feel confident enough? At first I wasn't confident at all, but what gave me some sort of inspiration is the fact that every time I walked into a hair salon, I would say to myself, "These hair salon staff were just like me at one time" They didn't know how to cut hair, they had to learn how to cut hair too and if they can do it then why can't I? That's what gave me the confidence to start and learn how to cut hair for myself and I haven't looked back since. I'm looking so forward to my next challenge, which I think will be some sort of dog training course. Wait till my mother finds out about this one! Ouch! If you think you are confident enough to take on the challenge of learning how to cut hair then go for it, what's the worst that can happen? No, don't tell me.. I can imagine. Her home study hair cutting course has everything that you need to get started. Unfortunately it doesn't come with some hunky model to practice on, we can't have everything now can we You can get access to the course here! Ok, that's all from me for now, it's just left for me to say, no matter what path you take, I wish you every success in the future and wish you happiness and peace.
