Taking Care The Planet 1 Taking Care The Planet 1 Presentation Transcript

  • Look around you. Maybe you can be conscious, too. Have you ever seen what a beautiful planet we have?
  • We need to conserve the natural resources (water and land) to have a better future.
  • They extract a natural resource (petroleum) contaminating another (the air). We are breathing this ...
  • ...and this . The smoke is contaminating the Earth . (and our lungs!)
  • THE PLANTS ARE THE SOURCES FOR PURE AIR ARE YOU TAKING CARE OF THEM?
  • Energy Conservation Don’t leave appliances turned on when you are not using them. Don’t waste energy!
  • People can recycle the old cars and use their parts to do or repair new ones. What shall we do with these?
  • People throw rubbish everywhere. We have to recycle!
  • We must divide the rubbish and use the organic one to make compost.
    • Looking at the landscape you will see how the countryside has changed ever in this short space of time.
  • What do you prefer? What are you doing for this to happen?
  • We can save water washing the clothes less often. We can collect clothes instead washing only one.
  • The companies that pollute only think about the money, but…….. Are they thinking in the people’s health? Air conservation
    • Encourage your grocery store sell environmentally friendly cloth bags for people to use when they shop, or bring your own.
    • Reuse is using an item more than once.
Recycle is the breaking down of the used item into raw materials which are used to make new items.
  • Reducing includes reusing and recycling all the materials to reduce the rubbish.
  • The rivers are polluted by the people, because they throw waste not usable as bottles, paper, plastic and many more things, instead of recycling them.
  • What will we do with this?
  • We must be conscious that our unique home is our Planet Earth.
  • Are you contaminating?
    • If we contaminate we add a substance which will make something dirty or harmful .
  • Do you know what natural resources are ? Water , land, petroleum are some of them. They are very important for our life! .
  • Reducing is good for the earth and it is good for us!
  • Recycling lets the natural resources last more time. Are you recycling?
  • If you have a paper and you don’t write it completely don’t throw it away. It can be useful to REUSE it as a rough paper. Reuse
    • Now,do you understand why the three Rs are important?
    • REUSE
    • RECYCLE
    • REDUCE
    • We are actually waging a WAR on Earth;
    • not on it, but against it.
    • We are attacking it by land, by air, and by water.
    • Our methods of attack are numerous and varied, and Earth is losing battle after battle.
    • Unless we call a cease-fire, Earth may lose this war, which in the end means that
    • we also lose.
  • We would like a better world. Would you help us?
