Hear is what people are saying about…. Sandra Kozlowski
“ As a member of the Tumwater

Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I have had the opportunity to work directly with Sandra. She is a dedicated and forward thinking ED who has always put the Chambers needs at the forefront, and has helped to elevate the exposure and quality of the Chamber well beyond what it was when she was hired”

Corey Lopardi,

Pardiman Productions

April 11, 2009

“Sandy is a delight to know and

work with! She is a natural “people person” and is great at networking and relationship building. She is also an idea person- her creativity and passion fuel her daily tasks and personal goals, as well as her approach to solving problems or challenges. She is fearless about asking people for things in support of her goals or vision and is just as eager to give something back. I have witnessed numerous times Sandy has reached out to help others in need in very tangible ways in an effort to be of service to improve our community.”

Jill Rose

Jill Rose Consulting

January 4, 2010

“I worked with Sandy to put

together the Marketing Clinic at the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce, the second largest chamber in the state. It was her persuasion of the second in command at the chamber that got us in the door, and we created a successful clinic that continues to serve Chamber members in building the business through marketing strategies. I loved working with Sandy and hope to create other opportunities to do so.”

Janet Ott

President

Transform Coaching and Consulting

January 4, 2010

“ I have worked with Sandra

as a consultant for a start up company and was impressed with her keen sense of business strategy, specifically getting to market with a focused “whatever it takes” approach while keeping costs of market entry in control. This often is a difficult balance to obtain. Her enthusiasm and commitment are engaging to all around her, particularly her clients and I know she will continue accomplishing great business events in her career.”

Charles Sapp

Owner

Innovative Money Management

April 13, 2009

“ I took Yoga Classes for over a

year from Sandra. Upon meeting her, you instantly know that she is a kind-hearted person who is passionate about her work. In getting to know her better, one could see the passion that she exhibited for teaching Yoga spread throughout her life. She is an intelligent, caring woman who has been able to accomplish all she’s set out to do. I would be blessed to work with Sandy in the future.”

Shauna Grumblatt

IT Manager

Spring Air West

May 17, 2009

“Sandra is hard working and

loyal to her causes, both personal and professional. She is very effective as a catalyst within organizations. Twice now I’ve watched her energize organizations with new life and purpose. She is particularly good at taking a small budget to create highly effective media events and promotions.”

Russ Alman

Owner/President

Alternative Marketing Experts

May 18, 2009

“— Having not had prior experience

Managing a chamber of commerce, she quickly set about researching chamber best practices, consulting with other non-profit executive directors and generally networking with those who could assist her in structuring an organization designed to meet the business needs of the community. I see this work process translating into numerous work settings, clearly appropriate with supporters and members.

While her predecessors focused on residents, Sandy intuitively knew that business growth could be strengthened by engaging visitors to the area. She sought out the VCB and we worked together and designing programs that enhance Tumwater’s visibility. In my view, one of her greatest strengths is the ability to strengthen ties through stakeholder benefit programs. She understands marketing in both the profit and non-profit world and has a keen understanding of the relationship process.”

Mike Dexter

Executive Director

Thurston/Olympia Visitors and Convention Bureau

“ Several years ago I signed up for my first Yoga

for Women with Round Bodies class along with my two daughters. I have some movement and balance difficulties that I hoped I could work around and still benefit from a gentle but disciplined form of exercise. I've benefited so much from continuing these classes. My balance and ability to move have improved allowing me to continue doing the things I want to do. Additionally, I feel so uplifted and content at the conclusion of each class that I can't imagine not having this in my life. “

Agnes Bennick

“I have just recently started

taking a yoga class through South Puget Sound Community College. Sandy has the natural gift to make everyone comfortable no matter what their skill level or ability may be. From the beginning of the first class she encouraged us all to do whatever we were comfortable doing and to trust our bodies to know how far we should go. Her supportive and encouraging words are exactly what I believe yoga to be all about. She makes it fun and allows us to laugh at her and ourselves.

I have never taken a yoga class before, but I have spoken with others who have. From what I’ve heard, most yoga classes are not as spiritual, supportive or as fun as Sandy’s are. I have already signed up for the next 8 weeks of classes through the college and intend on continuing beyond that. Should Sandy open her own studio, I would definitely continue my yoga classes with her in her studio.”

Marlisa Hollinger

“ I have worked with Sandra

Kozlowski while she was the director of the Tumwater Chamber of Commerce. The leadership she showed in shaping the chamber to become a true asset to the business community was something Tumwater had needed for years.

After Sandra became director of the Tumwater Chamber, KMAS radio saw the professionalism that had been lacking from the other directors. We were given updates through the Chamber website, opportunities to help the Chamber promote the events and new programs Sandra had designed. Working with the Chamber was a true joy because I knew Sandra would do what she had promised and that wasn’t always the case before she became director. As a person who talks with people daily asking for the radio station to help their promotions, it is always nice to have someone that knows how to make an event work and Sandra was that person. There are very few Chambers that has a staff that can do graphic design, newsletters that has you wanting to take a few minutes out of your busy day to read, come up with community activities that helps not only businesses bit the entire community, and always with a smile. Sandra can and did do that plus I am sure much more.

I would recommend Sandra and I know that the next business that has her as an employee is truly lucky.”

Melinda Walz

Marketing KMAS 1030 AM

Commissioner, Tumwater Parks Department

“ I am writing regarding

Sandy Kozlowski. I have been friends with Sandy for a few years and know her and her children very well. They are a wonderful family and her boys are great. I have had them to our home several times and her boys are respectful to my home, family and our three dogs.

Sandy is one of the most dedicated mothers I have met and she does all this while working a full time job and volunteering much of her time, holding positions on boards of non-profits such as Wolf Haven International and Conchetta House. The Conchetta House is a project that will provide scholarship housing to single mothers attending college and also offers low-cost childcare. Sandy conceived the idea of this project and has recruited many volunteers to see it through to the end. She is the most organized woman I have had the pleasure of meeting and I am always surprised at how she accomplishes so much with a large family. I believe it is through her organization and how she has raised her children that she can be so involved in all her work and remain as peaceful as she does.

Sandy has been a wonderful and supportive friend to me and many others and we are a great community who supports each other. I believe this is also instrumental in Sandy’s success in her work and family life. We are all here for each other and that makes a huge difference in our lives.”

Carmen Salazar
