Plants can be found in many different habitats around the world, including on land, in water, forests, deserts and farms. There are thousands of kinds of plants that come in different sizes, from tall trees with woody stems, to smaller shrubs with many hard woody stems, to the smallest herbs without woody stems like grasses. Plants also show amazing diversity in whether they are green or not, where they grow on land, sea or freshwater, and whether they bear flowers or not.
