They initially hired me to work with SSIS (successor of DTS) but as we quickly realized how buggy it was, we switched to the “old good” Transact Sql. This was all done with Sql Server 2005. Later on I was involved in an ASP.NET (once again with Ajax) project and I also had to do a small windows app. Operating System: Windows XP & Vista. Database: MySql, Sql Server Tools: Visual Studio 2005 Language: German – Dutch – English - Spanish 09.04 :: Apple Expo in Paris I worked for Apple at the Apple Expo Paris, as an “Apple Staffer” to present to the public the new iPod mini, the brand new iMac G5 and the upcoming Mac OS 10.4 “Tiger” revolutionary Operating System. But then two things happened. First I make them realize how bad was their IT, in terms of infrastructure, so I became the IT Manager, had to organize the whole Network, with a Windows 2000 Server as a File Server, and with an Active Directory. They also gave me some Administrative responsibilities which gave me a good understanding of how a company works in Germany (it’s always important to get experiences other than IT). Operating System: Windows 2000 Professional & Server. Tools: Excel Language: German, English, French, Dutch 03.04 :: www.partnerbank.net, subsidiary of partner-bank.at in Germany The goal of this project made either with PHP/MySql or with Flash/XML is to offer a common web site in terms of layout to all the people representing this bank in Germany. Regularly taught, I sold diverse products, mainly from Hamburg Mannheimer and DKV, and this, in Belgium as well as in Germany. When the previous mission finished I concentrated my self for 2 months in this “dual” experiences in the 2 countries, to acquire enough experience. 10.03  12.03 :: WinForms/WebForms with .NET @ Fluxys and Digipoint. In october 2003, Computer Futures contracted me to do a mission for digipoint at the final client Fluxys. The first part of the mission consisted to develop WinForms using Visual Studio.Net, the .Net Framework and C# as a language. The database to connect to was an Oracle on a Unix system. The second part of the mission was to realise a website for a client of digipoint, using ASP.NET techniques and an Access database. • 7. 11.01  12.02 :: Diverse experiences as a Freelance + Discovery of .NET - November 2001: While I continue working for Virtuology, I was recontacted by SHAPE (NATO in Mons) to update their intranet to reflect prices in EURO, but also to be involved in a MAP project. They have over there a section responsible of the making of all the detailed plans of the Shape, with every building. They wanted to have this information in the local intranet and to be able to browse the different maps to print it out and so on… We are currently discussing about the technique we will use (I would like to use Flash of course, with the help of Illustrator or FreeHand…) - December 4 and 5, My Computer life changed… I had the very good idea to invest (only) 200 € in Microsoft Dev Days 2001 which made me discover .NET ! Since then I really want to go from ASP to ASP.NET (using C#), but also to understand really deeply the CORE of the .NET framework, to be, not only a C# or ASP.NET programmer, but just a “.NET” programmer, whichever language I’ll have to use within Visual Studio.NET - December 2001 - January 2002: I still work for Shape and Virtuology on different project, while thinking about using .NET in a personnel project to practice it… - February-March 2002: I have been working on http://www.concours-et-jeux.com, a website about Contest & Games with a call to a paid number (using www.allopass.com) and the usage of ASP.NET accessing a database. I have also done the design of this project, while somebody else was responsible to put new contest via a backoffice administrator… - March – April 2002: Mottet & Associates called me to develop their website. http://www.mottetassociates.com uses the Flash MX technology with some scripting in the background for accessing the jobs list… - July - August 2002: I made a pause in my « IT » career to work with children during 6 weeks (What I already did when I was young). - August-September 2002: I went to Spain to learn Spanish during 6 weeks. As the market was not really « full of work », I took this opportunity to make better one of the language I speak. - October 2002: The SHAPE (NATO) called me again to work on their intranet and « maps » application. I then started to redesign their Intranet, to make a second version, more .NET and Flash oriented than the first « ASP/Html » version I made in 2000. - November 2002 - January 2003: I worked for the « Jésuites », a religious « association », to make an accountancy application in .NET, using C#, Crystal Reports and an Sql Server Database. - December 2002: I already said I worked for eXpanded Media, and then for Virtuology. This time this is nothing more than one of the most important (in term of budget and client’s size) Web agency in Brussels: www.dad.be. I was first hired to work on the design (Photoshop-Dreamweaver) of one of the Belgacom projects … 04.01  10.01 :: ASP Developer @ Virtuology Brussels (email Marketing experience) - April 2001 - October 2001: I work at Virtuology in Brussels, a web agency. Over here I made different project in which I was both involved in design and development... o A “newsletter” application for Camel Austria: The “World of Camel” newsletter is sent every two weeks with a lot of information. This newsletter is build by a database filled in an Administrator “site”. For this project I use again ASP with some Components, Sql Server 2000 and ListServ to send the letter (ListServ is a mailing list server). [April-May]
  • 8. o IBA, a scientific company of Louvain-La-Neuve: http://www.iba-worldwide.com and also for their different subsidiaries… At the beginning this site was completely static, I had to “dynamize” it with an SQL Server 2000 Database and ASP pages… I also use upload and mail components in this project to store PDFs and send a mail to people when news is added… I also did the "BackOffice" (or "admin") of this website, and I have been responsible of making Intranets, Extranets, and "public" sites for different sections of IBA (e.g.: IBA usa). [June-July] o Europe Unlimited Venture Connect : http://www.venture-connect.com is a website that allow investors to meet interesting people and companies... A notion of "security" had to be implemented because people can have a "trial" or buy an account, and they have different "authorisations"... Try to get a free trial, it cost nothing and you will see a part of what I did...[August] o Maison de la france: Once again here like for the Camel project it was email marketing... For his site http://www.france-tourisme.be , this company needed to import emails stored "normally" (as text files) in a structured database, which I did in VB 6 (could have been done in other tools...). Then I had to rework a little bit the current site so that the form to ask information is "more intelligent" and allowing them to have the info direct in the database... They could then send "newsletters" via an admin part like Camel does (for example). [September] o Dexia BIL, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg had to completely remake its website http://www.dexia-bil.com . With designers and IT specialists I worked on it first from Belgium then directly in Luxembourg. [September - October 2001] 07.00  03.01 :: Diverse Freelance experiences as an ASP Developer (+Flash) - July 2000: Once again for bMind, I gave Javascript courses in Charleroi, for students following a “web master” year. - August - September 2000: I worked at SHAPE (Mons), army base of NATO. I was responsible of migrating Forms and Reports from Oracle 8 to Oracle 8i products. - November - December 2000: Still for NATO I have re-developed a part of their Intranet in ASP / Oracle. - January 2001: In the same time I continue working on the intranet of the shape I have another contract with NATO about a "questionnaire" on their website (in partnership with a web design company). I also gave Ultradev courses to the designer of this company. - February 2001: Still with this web design company I made another web site with ASP and database and also maintenance on this website… - March 2001: I worked on a “fun” web site project: JOKE FM is a web radio with a website fully dynamic (with an Admin part), with versions in HTML and in Flash. The “hard” thing here was to know how to load data coming from an Access 2000 DB in Flash. I had to use Action Scripting. The “base” design was made by a web designer but I had to “use” those graphics to implement them in the user interface (the HTML integration was made by me…). 12.99  07.00 :: ASP Developer @ eXpanded Media in Leuven - December 1999 - July 2000, I worked at eXpanded Media: Member of the ubizen group… One of the biggest Web Development Company in Belgium. Over here, I worked on different projects using ASP and Relational Databases. The biggest is http://www.ipcmis.com using ASP and Oracle 8i with Intermedia for the research part. You’ll not be able to view 90% of this project as long as this is an ExtraNet (need a login). For the security of this project we have use Seraphim from Soteria. We also used many Javascripts functionalities in this project. Other small projects I worked on are http://www.gymna.com and http://www.prforce.com . All those projects have an administrator interface.
  • 9. 09.99  11.99:: First experiences as a freelance - September 99 - November 99: I started as a Freelance, with different clients: o Source : Worked on a “Mapping” Product for showing zoomed part of the Belgium. Developed using VB 6 and an access database. o Bmind : I gave some courses for this company. It was sessions of 20 days with classes of 12 students, about Visual Basic 5, Oracle 7.3/8 and General Database concepts. o A-developement : Worked a few days on a little project with VB 6 and Access 97. 02.97  07.99 :: Permanent experiences - February 1997 - July 1997 : Media-File s.a. (Charleroi) : Development of a software for Project Management with VB 4.0 (16 bits) and Access. Internet version of this software allowing the connection of any user all over the world (Developed using ASP 1.0 ; Feb. 97, beginning of the ASP…). - October 1997 - February 1998 : Glaverbel s.a. (Jumet) : Different developments in VB4 32 Bits with Oracle 7.3 ; most of those were parts of the project « Electronic Document Management » for the Research & Development Center of Glaverbel. - Mars 1998 - August 1998: SWAP sprl (Schaerbeek) : 6 month’s Mission at SOURCE Informatics (Uccle) for EZOS s.a. (Braine l'Alleud). Development in VB5 with SQL Server 6.5 and Crystal Report 6.0. Development of the project called "FeedBack", which consists in sending statistical data formatted in graphical reports. Also a “map” module using MapInfo Professional. - September 1998 - July 1999: INFOCON (Halle) : Ending of the mission at SOURCE Informatics, but with other responsibilities such as development of tools for the other developers (Tools DLL, ActiveX components, …). Worked on the versions of FeedBack with versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2. Other missions for InfoCon after SOURCE: Y2K Management Database with Access 97 and work at http://www.belgium-compass.com/ for developing some parts of the site. Questions?
