As a founder and Director of Technology, I was responsible for designing a high-traffic, high-availability web application enabling this new kind of video interactivity, building the first version of the product, and writing and presenting a business plan. Posta is an outstanding example of the possibilities of modern JavaScript user interface design, and features an integrated PayPal e-commerce system as well as companion MySpace and Facebook social network applications. Oct. 2006 – Dec. 2006 Contract Web Application Developer, Greythorn/Intava Sprint Harmony is a JavaScript and AJAX-based mobile phone user interface simulation used in Sprint’s customer care call centers. As part of a small, fast moving development team, I created Flash-like animation and user interaction styles in JavaScript to enhance the realism and usability of simulated phones. July 2006 – Sept. 2006 University of Washington Fellowship in Technology Commercialization In the summer of 2006, I accepted a grant from the University of Washington to write a business plan for the commercialization of software and intellectual property that was invented at the UW. This software, RegiSeed, provides 3D visualization of the prostate gland during prostate brachytherapy, a type of cancer treatment. July 2005 – July 2006 Director of Interactive Services, Story Worldwide, Seattle Responsible for technical leadership of interactive services team within a multi-channel creative/ publishing agency. Implemented infrastructure and processes for development, quality assurance, client review, and deployment. Hired developers and managed execution to meet exacting requirements of clients including Lexus, Bank of America, and Microsoft. I led the usability redesign of Lexus Magazine Interactive, replacing Flash with DHTML and AJAX, resulting in a 300% traffic increase while reducing quarterly budget by half. March 2005 – July 2005 Software Development Engineer, Aditi, on-site at Microsoft In 2005 I completed the Pen Training application for Windows Vista Tablet PC in C++ with a DHTML and JavaScript user interface, contracting for Microsoft via Aditi. Working with graphic design and localization teams, I implemented Pen Training for 23 languages, including the left- to-right Hebrew and Arabic. Managed partner integration process through launches of custom branded digital music services with AOL, CDigix, and Yahoo. Redeveloped MusicNet’s internal client for editing digital music metadata using DHTML and JavaScript. May 2000 – May 2001 Founder, Seattle City Valet Inc., Seattle Captured the majority of downtown Seattle’s valet parking service market by authoring and presenting service proposals to management of the Metropolitan Grill, Union Square Grill, the Brooklyn, and other Seattle top restaurants.
