Combination of main product and ancillary

 1. 1. Combination of Main Product and Ancillary Texts Haunted MUSIC VIDEO
 2. 2.

Black, gold and silver have been the 3 house colours that have been used throughout all three promotional pieces.'Mishka' font has also been used in all three products. As you can see I used the same typography and colours to create a link between all three.
 3. 3. I chose these colours as I wanted to exaggerate the artist and make her unique, I thought these extravagant colours would do so.

House Colours and Typography
 4. 4. Image Motifs

The chosen image motif was glitter and bubbles, we found the bubble a little hard to incorporate in the video and you are only able to see the bubbles slightly, I did now use the bubbles in the magazine advert as I did not want to make it too over the top.
 5. 5. Eye makeup was a key focus, I kept the eye makeup heavy with fake eyelashes to make her different and stand out.

 6. 6. Genre Characteristics

The Indie genre can be seen throughout all three tasks, you are able to see by her outfit style and her statemented make up.
 7. 7. The artist wears Doc Martins with each outfit which is purposefully done to establish genre characteristics.

 8. 8. Use of Images

Heavy eye make up and red lipstick is continuously seen with this artist, in the images you will see that this is what stands out the most which is my aim. I wanted the makeup to be dramatic so that the audience will link this back to the artist.
 9. 9. I used similar camera angles when capturing images to create a similarity, these mainly consisted of being slightly high angled.

 10. 10. Industry Information

I created a producers logo that is only used on the cd cover insert, the ancillary task includes a review from NME magazine which suits the particular genre and gives the consumer a more of a reason to purchase the album. More incentive means popularity builds, so the artist will reach the chosen market successfully.

 11. 11. Layout Design

The layout and design is the same in both tasks, main use of white space, bubbles and glitter is dominantly found. I wanted to give my ancillary task a simple but elegant look, I did not want it to be cluttered with too much going on but something that was interesting and deep in some form. This was intended to reflect the particular type of music in the album.

 12. 12. Still Images

I took still images in both the black and white outfits of the artist, but my main attraction was the white dress as it gave it a more simple, floated out look. Whereas the black dress was patterned and would not have matched the layout of the tasks.
 13. 13. My aim was to take still images of the artist with white space and make use of that space as much as possible.
