The most popular formof decoration is the Christmas tree. While some believe that the tradition started in the 18th century inGermany, others believe that it was started by Martin Luther in the 16th century. Red and green are thetwo main colors used in the Christmas decorations. Red symbolizes blood, shed by Jesus when he wascrucified. Green symbolizes eternal life. Wreaths, made up of conifer leaves and branches, are placed in the windows and doors as decorations. Christmas tree, as we all know, is the most important plant without which no Christmas decoration is complete.  Snowmen: Let your family and friends pause for a moment to read your deepest thoughts in the middle of the hurly-burly of their everyday life by sending them family Christmas cards.  You can customize these wish cards by writing brief personal messages, tying a personal memory into your greeting, and finally dropping a couple of lines about how much you miss them.  Lights: Christmas decorations are brightened up with the use of lights.  Other items: Some other items include candles, angels, stockings, flowers, bows, ribbons, and many more.Christmas ItemsThe simplest decorating idea is to get hold of empty boxes or cartons and wrap it up with colorful papers.Tying it up with ribbons can also be another option.
