How naxalism originated….? • Initially The movement had its centre in West Bengal. • Naxalbari movement - Violent upspring in 1967 • Sectioned from Communist Party of India (marxist) • Was led by Kanu Saniyal & Jangal Santhal • Mao Zedong , Karl Marx, Lenin- ideological leader • Urban elites were attracted to the ideology, which spread through Charu Majumdar's writings
