  • 3. <ul><li>Local Chelmsford residents </li></ul><ul><li>People who already read newspapers such as the Echo and the Gazette </li></ul><ul><li>People aged 18+ (newspaper readers tent to be older) </li></ul><ul><li>I decided that I do not want a specific audience other than people living in the local area, so I will ain to target it at a wide range of people. </li></ul>
  • 4. <ul><li>First two pages of a local newspaper </li></ul><ul><li>I want to make my newspaper attractive for the local community but I will still need to keep to the usual newspaper conventions. </li></ul><ul><li>I will use stories that will would interest a range of people rather than just focusing on one topic. </li></ul><ul><li>I will include stories that effect the local public and will also interest them: </li></ul><ul><li>Council issues </li></ul><ul><li>Local entertainment </li></ul><ul><li>Sport stories </li></ul>
  • 5. <ul><li>I will use the same stories from my newspaper as a summery for the website. </li></ul><ul><li>I will again have to stick to the usual conventions of a newspapers and their websites. </li></ul>
  • 6. <ul><li>The poster for my newspaper will just be introducing what it is. </li></ul><ul><li>I want it to stand out- to make the public interested in it </li></ul><ul><li>I also want the strap line to be something that will stick with the people who see it, so they remember it and my newspaper. </li></ul>

  • 8. <ul><li>This is a cover from the Echo newspaper. </li></ul><ul><li>The logo stands out amongst all of the stories. </li></ul><ul><li>All of the headlines have been made very bold- each one in different colours. </li></ul><ul><li>There is a lot on the cover- main stories, pictures and adverts. </li></ul>
  • 9. <ul><li>This is the home page from the Southend Echo newspaper-the same paper as the cover </li></ul><ul><li>The first thing you look at is the newspaper logo as they have made it big and bright, so I people know and remember what they are reading. </li></ul><ul><li>It clearly has a lot going on, with different links and stories </li></ul><ul><li>There are also a lot of eye-catching advertisements, which I plan to include in my own website. </li></ul>
