In almost all cases, it is senseless toallow good people to leave your organization. When they leave, they take with themintellectual property, relationships, investments (in both time and money), occasionallyan employee or two, and a chunk of your future.Employee retention strategies help organizations provide effective employeecommunication to improve commitment and enhance workforce support for keycorporate initiatives. These strategies also provide full support to the marketing-communication efforts by helping the organization build customer loyalty bydistinguishing and positioning the organization’s unique products and services in today’scrowded marketplace.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDYThe main objective of doing this study is to understand the nature of work, employment, and labour relationships in call centres (BPO) and its impact on workers. This effortaims at identifying and exploring the shared interests to counter the preexisting beliefthat employees (the human resource) and the human resource management bodies inboth the developing and developed world are divided. One of the biggest challengescompanies are facing is the attraction and retention of good employees and topperformers. The purpose of this project study is also to prove how employee retentionis essential in this day and age, and if the organizations are not awake to the situationand immediate actions are not taken to that effect, what repercussions lay ahead andhow they would affect the organization and the industry.METHODOLOGYThe steps in which the project would be carried out is by collecting both the primary andthe secondary data. The secondary data will be collected first. This collection of datawill be done by means of reading various materials such as books, journals, magazines, newspaper articles, etc.; looking for similar content online (i.e., on the Internet). Then astructured questionnaire would be used as a primary data collecting tool which will befilled by the bpo employees of various organizations using convieniencesampling. Therefore project work would be carried out on the basis of both primary andsecondary data.
