    • Introduction In 1999, Factiva editors launched a comprehensive new effort called Intelligent Indexing to help you retrieve more targeted articles in the Publications Library and more relevant results in your CustomClips folders. Intelligent Indexing means that every article in every source in Dow Jones Interactive is indexed by a standard set of terms covering company name, industry, news subject and region, effective December 10, 1999. These codes are the building blocks of CustomClips topics. New codes are added monthly. A complete listing of index terms appears at www.ask.djinteractive.com/indexing.
