Interview questions and answers - Presentation Transcript

  1. (Interview questions and answers) Some tips for success in the job hunt. brought you by http://workexpert.co.cc
    • Do not limit your search for a job by responding to only ads posted in the paper or the net.
    • Spread your net wider by exploring opportunities through your network of contacts and attending career or job fairs.
    • Carefully prepare your resume and cover letter before sending it to a prospective employer.
    • Do not send your resume only to HR department but also to the head of the department for the position you have applied for.
    • Plan your job hunt well and make a list of prospective employers and make a well-defined plan of your job search.
    • A plan helps you determine whom to network with and sets a definite process for you to follow.
    • It also helps you chart your progress.
    • (Go next to see tips for avoiding common mistakes in interview.)
    • Avoid these common interview mistakes:
    • Do not create a poor first impression with a limp or aggressive handshake at the start of the interview. A lot can be read of your personality through your handshake.
    • Do not talk too much in the interview but make efforts to listen what the interviewee is saying .
    • Avoid talking badly of your former employer, this will create a bad impression about you.
    • Do not ask about perks and benefits of the job in the first interview itself, this may make the interviewer think you are only interested in the money.
    • Even if you are nervous do not show it in body language or speech, put up a confident front.
    • Make the right amount of eye contact with the interviewer.
    • Follow the cue given by your interviewer on the tone and attitude to be adapted at the interview.
    • (Thank you for taking your time to read this short presentation. For more detailed information of how to succeed in interview questions and answers , visit http://workexpert.co.cc , one of the leading information provider related to workplace problems.)
