    • What’s The Problem?  Where will a terrorist shoot from?  Where should I deploy my resources to stop him?  How do I search the area?  What help can I get from CCTV etc?  How to I tell people what’s happening?  How do I record my analysis for use later?  How do I do it faster, with less people? CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.
    • RAM-PRAS  Rocket and Mortar Position Ranking and Analysis System  C++ Front-end  SQL Server back-end  Esri File GDB to store mapping (Arc Engine 10.0)  Architecture has to assume worst case, so: local data, no network, classified output, locked down computer, accreditation CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.
    • Start with a mortar CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.
    • Add some Rules CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.
    • Add some Sensors to cover the ground CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.

    • Add some buildings to Search CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.
    • How to get all that to the frontline with limited bandwidth? CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.  Create Raster backdrops as BMP, vectors as Shapefile and coverages as PNG  Sort and Merge using FME WorkspaceRunner  Then create a layered PDF
    • And with FME Embedded in our product we might as well…  Convert incoming mapping to something Esri understands  Use it for Geo-Processing (save Esri Spatial and 3D Analyst licences)  Who knows what else in future…. We can add Workspaces to our product without recompiling and having to be re-accredited CONNECT. TRANSFORM. AUTOMATE.
