    Dear Guest,

Yes a Guru is necessary for our spiritual progress beyond a spiritual level of 55% (that is, when we reach the spiritual level of a disciple). Until then, those of us who do not have a Guru, can do spiritual practice as per the 6 basic universal principles. Following these principles will ensure our progress, until one day a Guru in physical form does enter our life. For fast spiritual progress beyond 55%, and the continued grace of the Guru, we can continue doing spiritual practice in accordance with these principles.

Basic principles are correct. Is Guru necessary? Our deity can’t be our Guru. While writing I got my answer. whatever question I have asked ,that has to be answered by my guru.Is n’t it?

    Dear Guest,

SSRF recommends going from many to One as a principle for faster spiritual progress. In some stages of our spiritual journey, we may face increased problems in our life which are caused by our departed ancestors. For this one is advised a specific chant to overcome those problems. This is from the perspective of ensuring that our main spiritual practice is utilized towards our spiritual progress and not towards overcoming obstacles that can be overcome by additionally chanting the Name of a specific God principle. Hence during such times one can avail of this God principle in addition to the God or deity we worship. Problems caused due to departed ancestors are something that continues to influence our lives adversely from time to time. Therefore we recommend people to continue to chant “Sree Gurudev Datta” daily which is the specific chant for Ancestral problems along with their main chant until and unless one is advised otherwise by a Saint or Guru.
