    • What Is The Most Important Reason to Have a Real Estate Trainer? There are several good reasons to work with a real estate trainer when you’re just starting out – but this one trumps them all. Why do investors work with real estate trainers? Here’s a hint, the answer begins with the letter E. No, it is not escrow but that is a good guess, it shows you are in a real estate frame of mind! It is EXPERIENCE. Having an experienced real estate trainer is a true advantage to have in your corner when you are just starting out. Even if you have plenty of sales under your belt touching base with a real estate trainer will refresh your skills and keep you up-to-date on the market. Training should be considered an integral part of your business plan. A real estate trainer will help you gain the knowledge you need to be successful. The knowledge you gain will result in confidence in your business dealings.
    • Your time with a trainer should be treated the same as going to school. You are there to learn. Take notes. That’s right, it is time to go out and buy yourself a notebook and some new pens, just like you did on your first day of school. Along with notes from your lessons be sure to write down all your questions and ideas. Be an active participant in the learning experience you will have with a real estate trainer. Here are just a few of the subjects you could learn about: 1. The differences between HUD homes and bank-owned homes 2. Wholesaling 3. Strategic bidding 4. Purchasing with no deed restrictions Here are some questions that could be answered: 1. Can you make bids for homes in other states? 2. Does a business have any advantages over an individual in the bidding process? 3. How do you handle counter offers? 4. The offer is accepted, now what? This is just a small sample of the information that you may be taught. Other subjects could be: making bids on multiple houses at the same time, finding private investors, bidding without proof of funds or an approval letter, establishing a buyers list, and the importance of closing dates. If you are wondering where you will find the time to take classes consider the following. Learning how to fill out forms correctly sounds simple enough but even the smallest error could result in the loss of an accepted offer. Imagine one mistake that could cost you $32,000 in profits. That scenario makes finding the time in your schedule seem much easier now, doesn’t it? The real estate trainer you choose will bring with them their system. They may have charts, forms, equations and spreadsheets that they have created to ensure the best buys and the biggest profits. Often they have designed software applications that have streamlined the investing process. A good trainer will be someone who is teaching because they love investing and want to give others the opportunities to become successful. They teach but they also are still out there bidding and always learning. Check out their webpages, read the testimonials, and if they offer podcasts download a few. Your real estate trainer will do more than just show you the way, they will inspire you with every step.
