  • 1. If You Give a Horse a House

  • 2. If you give a horse a house, she is going to ask for a sofa.
  • 3. When you give her a sofa, she will want to stretch out on it with her favorite book.
  • 4. Just when she opens her book,
  • 5. …her friends come over to watch movies
    and eat popcorn.
  • 6. When the popcorn bowl is empty, she looks in the fridge and…
  • 7. … finds hotdogs with ketchup, a giant pizza, and cake and ice cream.
  • 8. After all the food is gone, Horse and her friends decide that they ate too much, so next, they play Wii Fit.
  • 9. As they play Wii Fit, the delivery boy throws the newspaper in the yard close to the pool.
  • 10. Scott the Lion, Spike the Bat and Alligator run outside to get the newspaper, but stop to take a quick dip in the cool blue pool.

  • 11. She is about to jump in the pool when she spots the newspaper next to the pool…and
  • 12. Begins to read about Boston and China in the travel section of the newspaper and daydreams about going to an airport and flying far away.
  • 13. She thinks that this might be fun but want to read her travel guide first.
  • 14. She begins to read her book and thinks to herself how comfortable she would be reading somewhere other than outside in the…
  • 15. …hot sun next to the pool…
  • 16. And wonders if she should move someplace cooler.
  • 17. If she moves someplace cooler, she will need a place to stay.
  • 18. She will need a new TV and fridge.
  • 19. She will want bookshelves for her books and a new sofa to sit on while she reads.
  • 20. And chances are…if you give her a sofa,
  • 21. she will want a new house to go with it.
  • 22. …and chances are if you give a Horse a house,
  • 23. she will want a sofa to go with it.
