    She lived from 1880 to 1968.

    When she was eight years old, she learned a few pitching tricks from a great pitcher, Dazzy Vance.
    As a teenager, she played baseball with the Engelettes, an all women’s team owned by Joe Engel.
    Soon seventeen-year old Mitchell joined the Lookouts, she made baseball history.
    Jackie worked at the baseball stadium for five more years retiring in 1937 at the age of 23.
    In 1987 Jackie Mitchell died in the age of 73.
