  • 7. 10 Ideas Fuerza para una propuesta 10: NMPB La INNOVACIÓN en los criterios de selección • Different aspects of innovation are embedded in each of the 3 evaluation criteria used for selecting projects • The same criteria will be used to evaluate: • • • 'Research and Innovation' actions (100% funded) 'Innovation' actions (70% funded) SME actions (70% funded) • Investors (VCs, BAs) and market experts will be secured for panels evaluating proposals. Criteria will be interpreted by evaluators within the context of the topic addressed by the proposal, taking into account the WP text, the type of action and the nature of the proposed activities. 7 (24/01/2014)

Cómo: Tightly couple research with innovation!!!! • Address Research and Innovation from lab to market • Encourage incremental and disruptive innovation • Consider a closer relationship between research and entrepreneurship • Put SMEs in the lead in delivering innovations to the market. • Keep in mind that evaluators from the business and investor domains will probably be involved in the selection process (e.g. Investors (VCs, BAs) and market experts) • Consider coupling the last phases of your project with access to risk capital for innovative SMEs & midcaps • Ensure a clear emphasis on innovation in your proposal!!! 10 (24/01/2014)

Understanding these will be key for those interested in preparing successful proposals”… Keep up to date!!!!

SINERGIAS con otros fondos • “Several activities in this part of the Work Programme may be enhanced through a combiantion of funding sources from other EU, national or regional programmes and from finantial instruments” Proposals for Research & Innovation and for Innovation Actions should include an outline of the initial exploitation and business plans, which will be developed further in the proposed project. For topics NMP 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 18, 21, 24, these initial plans may address private funds, or assess synergies and possible cumulative funding with relevant national / regional research and innovation programmes and/or European Structural and Investment Funds related to smart specialisation strategies. For this purpose the tools provided by the Smart Specialization Platform, Eye@RIS322 may be useful. The results of these activities as well as the envisaged further activities in this respect should be described in the final report of the project. 16 (24/01/2014)
