Using Simple Script to install your Wordpress site

  1. 1. Installing WordPress <ul><li>Using Simple Scripts from cpanel </li></ul>
  2. 2. <ul><li>From cpanel you will find an icon Simple Scripts under the software/Service section. To start click on the icon, this is the easiest and fastest way to install a wordpress site. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>From the Simply Script screen click the wordpress icon under Blogs section. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>To begin you will need to click on Install button. You also have the option to import an existing installation however we will not be reviewing this for this demo. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Here you will find Step 1 - 3 </li></ul><ul><li>Step 1: You have the option to select the version of wordpress you want to install. I would suggest the latest version. </li></ul><ul><li>Then you will need to select where you would like wordpress installed. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Step 2: Advanced Options </li></ul><ul><li>These options include administrative privileges, database configuration, and more. These changes are optional and in most case do not need to be changed. </li></ul><ul><li>Step 3: Legal Information </li></ul><ul><li>Check the box and click on the Complete button. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>You will then be able to see the installation progress, once completed you see a green X with the words Installation Complete! Below this you will see the information to access your new wordpress site. Be sure to keep this information in a safe place so that you can refer back to it. </li></ul>
