But connecting with people isn’t easy, both in virtual life and in the physical life.”<br />“Authenticity is hard work, and might not be as catchy.”<br />

Words from the Wise<br />Professional Panel of Ben & Rafi Fine (“TheFineBros”), Dane Boedigheimer (“DaneBoe”), Ben Relles (“BarelyPolitical”), & James & Tyler McFadden (“GoPotato”)<br />It may be more time consuming to produce professional content, BUT that’s what you need to stand out from the crowd.<br />Balance between the projects that take a while versus those you can produce quickly.<br />Producing professional content is worth it because it has the opportunity for licensing (whereas lower quality won’t even be considered as it wouldn’t cut it on TV or DVD).<br />Collaboration isn’t something just for “vloggers.”<br />It’s hard to “play the game” professionally.<br />Don’t forget that you can engage with your audience OUTSIDE of YouTube.<br />Make sure you have a TOPIC.<br />Note that the business model for online video advertising is still evolving.<br />
