Hundreds of special events which can bring out up to 1,000 people.

Why do we use Social Media?
To increase visitation to the State Parks.
To promote our overnight and day-use facilities and recreational opportunities.
To educate our fans about public safety, nature, and outdoor recreation.
To connect our staff with our fans.

Questions to Consider
Are our customers using Google +?
Are our Facebook fans and Twitter followers migrating towards Google +?
Can our staff be trained to utilize Google + effectively?
Will our OIT allow for the use of Google +?
Until business pages are made available, how do we connect the individual to the whole?

Our First Experiment
Our Naturalists (or Rangers) are the ambassadors for our parks and programs.
Until business pages are available, we are sending our Naturalist, Chad Smith, into the great Google + unknown.
