  • Many people felt this way – asking us why we could not be a ‘company’ and charge for our ‘services’
  • As far as we explored we could not find an affordable payment gateway till recently. Our Reserve Bank of India had also imposed some strictures for NGOs and donation raising through payment gateways / Paypal
    These seem to have been removed recently
  • Will share a couple of examples here

  • 7. EMAIL RECIPIENTS – READING PATTERNS Very few – read the whole mail Some read & forget    Majority do not check junk mail SOME – read just the appeal and WANT to give   
  • 8. SENDING EMAILS Bulk mailing software (eg MailChimp) Personalized Emails
  • 9. NO RESPONSE TO EMAIL?
  • 10. DONORS – MY EXPERIENCE Some give ONLY to specific causes, but… With some – you CAN ask for large amounts Be prepared: - Lower - Higher – unexpected!
  • 11. HOW DOES ONE ASK AGAIN? OCCASIONS! Doctors Day / Nurses Day / Celebrations / Festivals Get creative!

  • 13. WHAT I LEARNED OVERALL FEEL the importance of your project – Radiate it! WORK AT: Regular Planning Monitoring Evaluation
  • 14. AND AM STILL LEARNING… HOW to ask (better) How to exploit social media / Fund raising portals / CSR options and more!
