• Food is a big part of every culture around the world. Different culture have different types of food, different method of preparing food. The diversity of food is also partly due to the availability of a particular material, hence, different region has different types of food.• I enjoy taking photos of the food that I have tasted when I travel to places, even when I am back in my home country, I will still sample the food that I have eaten or the food that I find interesting. Here are some of the photos that I have taken, with food from my home country being a big part.
Satay, is one of Malaysia’s most signature dishes that isenjoyed by many people. This is a pork satay, a variant from theMalay satay. The satay sauce is a thick gravy made frompeanut, pineapple and curry paste that complement the taste ofthe satay.
The photo on the top is the NyonyaLaksa, which is found in the stateof Malacca. This is a dish preparedin rich coconut gravy, served withbeancurd puffs, clams and noodle.It’s one of my favourite dish.The photo on the bottom is theAsam Laksa which is from thenorthern part of Malaysia. It is asour, fish-based soup. It is listed atnumber 7 on Worlds 50 mostdelicious foods complied by CNN Goin 2011.
Nasi Lemak, is Malaysians all time favourite dish.There are many variants to this dish. But, the curryand the sambal (spicy chili paste) and the rice that iscooked in coconut milk is the main focus of this dish.
