    • Why Communicate to staff?
      Saving energy is one of our top concerns
      Helps the environment and also bottom line, with saving on your energy bills.
      Can only do this with co operation of all the team.
      Inductions, notice board, monthly FLS meetings which has agenda points relating to energy.
      IHG has Green Engage.
    • Intro to Green Engage Video: a short video introducing the Green Engage tool
      Getting Started (First Things to Do): a list of how to get started
      Training guides: interactive training guides which will provide you with a step-by-step overview on how to use the basics within Green Engage and should answer most of your questions
      Certification Overview: description of what certification means and how you achieve each level of certification within Green Engage
      Green Solutions Checklists: a checklist of all of the action list items from Green Solutions
    • Within The Building.........
      Heat Exchange
      Auto shut – off lights
      Limit heating and Air Conditioning
      Cards advising, towel exchange etc... For guests to help.
    • Things we talk about with the team
      Checking seals etc... Regularly on fridge doors.
      Not to turn on every appliance at 5.30am when they start
      Use one oven not two when we can.
      Put a lid on it!
      Keep equipment well maintained, coils etc... Dust free
      Fully loading dishwashers
    • Things we talk about with the team
      Don't leave hot water running
      Don't ignore leaks
      Close doors
      Turning off lights and air con
      Recyclable waste, paper glass etc..
      Ordering monthly to save on transport costs
    • However we are in the Hospitality Industry
      When we first opened I installed dispensers in the bathroom rather than individual bottles, however the customers didn't like it! so individual bottles came back!
      The staff use the half empty bottles in our facility.
    • Future Projects
      Engaging the teams more, with costs, now a year on comparisons for our notice boards costs against occupancy, against this time last year etc..
      Bulbs re public area. We have now sourced from a local company, a dimmable lcd lamp.
