EWM is not just WM++  train consultants and core team on EWM, involve EWM consultants with EWM implementation experience Set-up a sandbox to support business process workshops in the blueprint Service Portfolio of the Global EWM Services Hub Build a proof of concept for mission critical processes and high volume Skilled ABAP developers required  train them on the EWM specifics Strong project management is a must (scope management and change request management) Set up strong test management with repeatable test cases Do not under estimate change management efforts

All rights reserved. 11Public Business Blueprint Common Pitfalls:  The customer specialist knows the process of the actual system, how it was designed several years ago – but doesn‘t know how the process is running in the warehouse right now...  The customer specialist knows the requirements for the actual system and wants to have a 1:1 replacement of the functionality (EWM functionality is maybe different => different solution for the same requirement) Recommendations:  An User Interface Mockup will help all participants to understand the future look and feel (can be defined with more details during realization in a design phase!)  Talk to warehouse workers: they know how they work but also the roadblocks.  Start Sizing based on designed processes.  Reevaluate material flow concept in case it changed while blueprint.  Sign off blueprint in order to avoid too many changes.
