Barge Financing and Chartering
This workshop will highlight financing for barge building,
sale and purchase, and chartering strategies for the current
market. It will cover the full range of barges deployed on
the world’s offshore oil and gas fields and resources sectors
be it from flat top barge, jack-up, semi-submersibles,
pipelaying and cable laying barges to accommodation units
and more.
You will learn to evaluate bids, negotiate charter terms and
draft contracts, and managing post fixture administration
and also apply in-depth market knowledge to exploit the
specific opportunities associated with barge assets.

You will be able to:
Understand the realities of raising finance in today’s economic
climate
Know a suite of debt and equity solutions
Examine Barge charterparty contracts, clauses and law, key issues
to avoid, common mistakes and pitfalls
Identify the key issues and clauses to understand to benefit your
operations
Examine the core clauses in the supply time charter agreement
to mitigate risk and draft amendments specific to your operations
Understand the commercial considerations in chartering, insurance
issues and the allocation of risk
