I was in charge of several projects that involved the upgrade of Bombardier Capital’s infrastructure layout. I supported over 100 servers in the Data Center and was in charge of 1 Large Tape Drive system, a total of 30 backup tapes on a Arcserve backup server. All the servers in the Data center were Windows NT 4.0 and my duty was to configure several Windows 2000 servers to participate in a key part in the Domain. I setup a Windows 2000 Print, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and Arcserve Backup Server. I Also setup several Windows 2000 servers with SQL for testing purposes. Worked together with other team members to create a perfect team environment and all worked together to rollout Windows 2000 workstation. Setup Windows 2000 / Windows NT images using Ghost and Alltaris and I setup a multi network dos boot disk to upload and download images. Created Script files to automate some of our software and patch rollouts and started working with Software pushing. Worked with AS400, Solaris, Citrix and Novell servers in our Data Center. I also helped configure Firewall, VPN, Switches, and Routers in 2 separate buildings in Jacksonville. Installed and configured a base Windows 2000 image to be loaded on all Dell computers. Brought Dell computers to all user locations and moved all data from old computers to the new Dell computers and configured network settings and applications. I was made a Project Manager the first week I was there and in charge of assigning work and keeping track off all computers being installed and replaced. Performed helpdesk duties and resolved 85% of the issues over the phone. Finished the Dell project in August and started working with the Helpdesk to resolve other issues and to start working on other projects. Traveled to five different states and configured Their Local Area Networks with new Windows 2000 Servers that I Built and Configured. I Built and Configured three Windows 2000 servers in Jacksonville and configured them as a File Server, Exchange 2000 server, and a RAS / VPN / Web server. I setup Active Directory Service on all 8 Servers and Setup Organizational Units with user accounts and logon scripts with permissions and polices. I also Configured the Cisco Routers in the remote sites and in Jacksonville to communicate with each other. I moved All user Data and Information from the old Windows NT 4.0 servers to the new Windows 2000 Servers.
