What is RYLA?
• Initially the Rotary Youth Leadership Award
(RYLA) program was established to pay
respect and concern for youth by
Rotarians.
• RYLA program provides effective training
experience for selected young people (14
to 30 years old) who demonstrated or showed
potential leadership in their community.

New expectation for RYLA
• New generation service became 5th avenue
of service
• RYLA experienced youth, especially
between 19 to 30 years old who learned
Rotary spirits, have high potential to be
good candidates for Rotarian in near
future.

Today’s objectives: Issues/ solutions
• However, awareness of RYLA program
among Rotarian is limited, despite the
possible benefit to all Rotary community.
• There is urgent need to promote the
significance of the program to incoming
district Governors’ Nominee and Elect,
beyond each district.
