MAKING THEROTARY CODE OF CONDUCTRELEVANT TO YOUNGERROTARIANS
The Object of Rotary…is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basisof worthy enterprise and , in particular, to encourage and foster.1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.2. High ethical standards in business and professions , therecognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations andthe dignifying of each Rotarians occupation as an opportunityto serve society.3. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian spersonal business and community life.4 . The advancement of international understanding ,goodwilland peace through a world fellowship of business andprofessional persons united in the ideal of service.
The Four Way Testof the things we think, say or do1. Is it the truth?2. Is it fair to all concerned?3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?4.Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
ROTARY CODE OF CONDUCTAs a Rotarian, I will1. Exemplify the core value of integrity in all behaviors and activities2. Use my vocational experience and talents to serve in Rotary3. Conduct all of my personal, business, and professional affairs ethicallyencouraging and fostering high ethical standards as an example to others4. Be fair in all dealings with others and treat them with the respect due tothem as fellow human beings5. Promote recognition and respect for all occupations which are usefulto society6. Offer my vocational talents: to provide opportunities for young people,to work for the relief of the special needs of others, and to improve thequality of life in my community7. Honor the trust that Rotary and fellow Rotarians provide and not doanything that will bring disfavor or reflect adversely on Rotary or fellow
