Adam Smith International, Nigeria July 2011 – Aug 2012 Interim Transformation Consultant Nigeria‟s power sector has significant issues with the management of their power grid leading to major issues whilst also in the process of partial privatisation. Google Jan 2011 – June 2011 Decommissioning Program Manager EMEA Created and delivered a new $250m program to remove obsolete hardware from high-security datacentres across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Designed the processes, negotiated logistics and warehousing contracts, recruited, trained and managed all team members and managed stringent security, quality and handling criteria for over $5million per week of equipment. Identified ways to improve stock management, shipping and repair processes that saved Zain $10m immediately and a projected further saving of $40m long-term., UK June 2009 – June 2010 Interim Managing Director Leading a cultural change programme for a successful web development company. They already had many Blue-Chip public and private sector clients and had identified that they did not work well with non-technical clients. Hired new staff, created new processes and implemented new tools to enable a more “customer-friendly” approach to handling a diverse range of client profiles. Wipro, EMEA Aug 2007 – Feb 2008 Technology Engagement Lead Working on a number of client projects to improve quality, security and processes within critical, strategic projects for clients like C&W and Portugal Telecoms. Projects included Relationship Manager for an Order Management System delivery for their new converged infrastructure and product portfolios and various security upgrades to critical systems and processes within a group-wide technology refresh. Batelco, Bahrain Nov 2005 – Nov 2006 Interim Transformation Program Manager Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of Indian subject matter experts in a deep engagement to analyse the entire operational IT systems capability of Batelco and recommend a strategic roadmap for transformation of systems and processes. The ultimate objective being to harmonise the OSS/BSS stacks across a fragmented and stove-piped organisation, enabling alignment and efficiency savings as well as easy integration of various new or acquired businesses across the region. Omneta – 2005/6 Appointed as CTO/COO of a supercomputer start-up with responsibility for defining technical and operational strategies in the distributed high-performance computing environment, offering secure processing to government, commerce and academia. CGD Society ( 2004 – 2008 Main board trustee (pro bono) responsible for strategy and fundraising. Launched Jeans for Genes in the USA in 3 months. Nortel Networks 2000-2002 Created the template for Nortel‟s complete OSS/BSS stack and closed a $32m deal with Sunrise CH (included Clarify and Metasolv products). Promoted to Director of Markets for Southern Europe and posted to Paris. Planet Computers 1995 – 1998 Built the company from an in-house IT Department to a value of £15m in 3yrs Designed and installed a solution used by UK MoD (CBDE) to analyse samples from Halabja that proved the Iraqis had used chemical weapons.
