Definition The Video Wall is an impossible to miss high impact and high reach video takeover which runs on the front door of TV.com. The ad starts as a 300x250 that expands to a 960x620 while layering over the page content, revealing a large screen for advertiser’s high quality video content. With animation set at 15 seconds, the Video Wall provides a unique opportunity to repurpose television and pre-roll assets delivering them to a valuable audience. After 15 seconds, the video wall collapses back to a 300x250 Messaging Plus and the user can replay the video wall. Due to the complexity of this unit, a kick-off meeting with the third-party creative designer, third-party server, CNET Networks Entertainment Account Coordinator, and CNET Networks Rich Media contact is required. Checklist of files that need to be submitted to the third party vendor:  Flash 8 .swf files for the base unit and expand unit  Flash 8 .fla files for the base unit and expand unit  Fonts needed for the base unit and the expand unit  Default image for the base unit  Linking URL  Tracking URL (optional)  For video, please submit an uncompressed .AVI file (.wmv, .mov, and mpeg are also accepted). The aspect ration of the video should be either 4:3 standard or 16:9 depending on final video dimensions.   • 3. Item Specification Video Wall Dimensions 960w x 620h - fully expanded; resolves into an 300w x 250h unit File Format GIF/JPG: 300w x 250h Default image required for Flash submission. Flash: Flash version 8 accepted. Creative must be delivered with attached .FLA in case of necessary edits. All required fonts must be delivered with the .FLA in PC or Mac format Maximum File Size 100k Base Unit Maximum File Size 100k Expand Unit Video Available in the expand panel only, NOT in the base creative. One video file allowed up to 1.2 MB, unlimited for streaming. Video to auto-play in the expand panel or display via a user-initiated subload. All video must have Play, Stop and Sound On/Off controls visible throughout the entire video display. The video will play and expand from the 300x250 ad unit. Expanded video should fill all or most of the 960x620 area. Unused real estate should be opaque. Unit cannot mask content modules appearing as if it is part of the site. Frame Rate Flash: 20 frames per second maximum CPU Consumption Vendor technology should attempt to consume no more than 25% of users CPU resources on an average system. Frequency Cap The expand panel must be frequency capped at once per user per day by the third party server, however the companion ad unit must show up persistently. Must have a proper P3P policy in place with the use of cookies. Animation Since the Video Wall is always user initiated, the expanded unit can animate for a maximum of 5 minutes. The base unit can animate for a maximum of 30 seconds. Audio Available in the expand panel only, NOT the base creative. Audio must start in Off position. Close Button Expand panel must contain a Close button in the upper right hand corner of the file which is user-initiated by click. Expand panel must also collapse on roll-off. Expand Button After the expand panel is done animating and closes, there should be a visible expand button. This expand button must be built into the file and can expand on user click only. Leave Behinds No leave behinds allowed (even temporary). Z-index Guideline All expand ads should be set to a z-index between 1000 and 4999. Linking URL Default GIF/JPG: An active URL must be provided and cannot exceed 128 characters. Flash: There is a maximum of one link per creative. Third-party Serving Available only by our approved Video Wall Third Party Vendor: Unicast. Third-party Third-party tracking is accepted on the linking URLs. A tracking 1x1 URL is also Tracking (optional) accepted. Third Party Tag SCRIPT SRC tags must be provided. A NOSCRIPT portion must be included.
