CURBSTREAM is the premier online video content delivery system in place today. Positioned through a strategic alliance with WEVA, the world’s largest professional videographers association, Curbstream delivers client-scripted video assignments to be completed in any location in a matter of seconds. These assignments are shot by professional videographers, then approved and uploaded for use in any format required, whether needed for TV, web, or streaming video. This document provides an overview of the Curbstream user interface by describing the system as seen from the Client, Provider and Administrator perspective. Each user group has varied viewpoint based on their function. Primary Users There are three main user types in CURBSTREAM. They are… • CLIENT: A customer who places orders. • PROVIDER: A videographer or photographer. • ADMINISTRATOR: An administrator who manages the orders. Logging in LOG IN OPTIONS: To log into Curbstream, follow these steps: 1. Open http://www.curbstream.com in your web browser.
    • 2. Enter your Curbstream username and password and click the [Log In] button. ACCOUNT RETRIEVAL SERVICE: If you have forgotten your username or password: 1. Click the Account Retrieval Service link. 2. Enter your Curbstream username and click the [Retrieve Account Information] button. 3. An e-mail will be sent to the primary e-mail address listed on your account. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG • If you enter an invalid username or password, the following text will be displayed: The username and/ or password is not valid. Please try again. Provider Access NEW USERS LOG IN: To register with the system as a PROVIDER, follow these steps: 1. Open http://www.curbstream.com in your web browser. 2. Click the register link. 3. Enter your e-mail address. This address will be used as the primary address for your account, and all Curbstream e-mails will be sent to it. 4. Enter the Username you would like to use. There is also a check box to use your e-mail address as your username if you’d like. 5. There is a drop down menu under Registration Type with the following options: • I’m just registering as a user. • I’d like client status with buyer privileges.  I’d like provider status.  I’d like administrator status. This option is used to select the type of account you want. Select I’d like provider status and click the [Next>>] button. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG If you enter an existing username, the following text will be displayed: The username you’ve entered already exists in our system. Please try a different name and click Next>> 6. Continue filling in name fields on next page: • Salutation • First Name [*required] • Middle Initial • Last Name [*required] • Suffix 7. Enter a password for your account. The password must be at least 6 characters long [*required]. 8. Re-the password for security purposes. [*required]. 9. Click the [Next>>] button to continue. 10. A summary of the information you’ve entered will appear at the top of the next page. If you want to change anything, click the information you’d like to change instead of clicking your browser’s back button to revisit a previous page. Once you’ve made a change, click the Update button that appears below the summary information. 11. Enter your primary phone number [*required]. 12. Enter your primary mailing address [*required]. 13. Affiliated Company information is optional. 14. Click [Complete] to finish, or [Cancel Registration] if you’d like to cancel or start over. 15. Once registration is complete, a welcome e-mail will be sent to confirm your username, password and account type. At this stage you will have access to the site but not any of the features. The features will become available once your provider status is granted. 16. A site administrator will promptly review your status application and make a decision, and a Curbstream e-mail regarding the approval or rejection of your status application will be sent. 17. If provider status was granted, you will receive instructions in the e-mail on how to activate the provider account. Click on the link provided in the e-mail to get started. 18. After agreeing to the terms and conditions regarding provider accounts, and after completing an equipment and experience survey, you will be forwarded to the Contract Activation page.     • can utilize Curbstream with you new status, you must activate a contract by creating new terms or by agreeing to terms already created. Note that you may have to log-in before viewing the page. If you need to log in, Curbstream will send you to the login page, then automatically redirect you to the contract page. 19. Click on the [Agree] button at the bottom of the Content Page to complete activation. PROVIDER: HOME PAGE This section provides an overview of the Curbstream user interface by describing the layout as seen from the Welcome landing page for providers. Each screenshot has been detailed to highlight important information: Home Page Details: Upon logging into Curbstream, you are taken to the Welcome page which consists of five sections: Header Section The header is located under the ImageSpan and Curbstream logos and consists of the Home Page, Content Manager and Assignments links. Sub Header / User Section This section appears below the header toolbar and confirms that you’re logged in to the system. The links to the right include Log-Out, Edit Profile, Feedback, Refer Friend, Help and FAQ. Account Services This section appears on the left-hand side of every page. It contains a shorthand view of all New Assignments, Active Assignments, and Claimable Assignments and it contains a dropdown Calendar. News/Updates This section appears to the right of the account services panel and displays current ImageSpan news. In the future it will function as a portal page for Curbstream information.     • Edit Profile This button appears above New/Updates. Clicking it will take you to the User Profile Manager page: User Profile Manager • This page allows Clients to update the following information: • Salutation • First Name • Middle Initial • Last Name • Suffix • Username • Password • You may also cancel your account if you’d like.     • • E-Mail Address - To add new or update E-Mail Addresses: o Enter E-Mail Address into the New Address Field. o Enter the type of E-Mail Address [Drop Down Menu Provided]:  Work E-Mail  Home E-Mail  Secondary Work  Secondary Home  Alternate E-Mail o Click Checkbox if you are selecting this E-Mail address to be the Primary Address for the account. o Click Save to add the E-Mail Address to the list of E-mail address options. o You may also select Update, Delete to change current E-Mail information. • Phone Numbers – To Add or update Phone Numbers: o Enter phone number into the New Phone Number Field. o Provide Extension. o Enter the type of Phone Number [Drop Down Menu provided].  Home Phone  Work Phone  Mobile Phone  Fax  Home Secondary  Work Secondary  Alternate Phone o Click Checkbox if you are selecting this phone number to be the Primary Number for the account. o Click Save to add the phone number to the list of phone number options. o Select Update, Delete to change current phone number information. • Addresses - To add new or update Addresses: o Enter Address into the New Address Fields in Line 1, Line 2, City, State and Zip code. o Enter the type of Address [Drop Down Menu Provided]:  Main Address  Floor / Suite  P.O. Box  Alternate o Click Checkbox if you are selecting this mailing Address to be the Primary Address for the account. o Click Save to add the Address to the list of mailing address options. o Select Update, Delete to change current address information. • Associated Companies – To Add, Edit or Delete Associated Companies: o Click Add to bring you to the Add Company page. Enter Company Name, Company Website, Industry, Job Title/Relation and Contract Relation. o Click Edit to bring you to the Company Profile Manager page. Update Company Name, Company Website, Industry, Job Title/Relation/Contact Relation. o Click New, Update or Delete to update current E-Mail Addresses, Phone Numbers, and Addresses already in the system. • Email Administrator/Notes o This field allows a Provider to e-mail Curbstream Support directly from the website for any non-assignment related issues.     • View Contract – This page allows providers to specify contract options or accept a contract written by a Curbstream Administrator. • Update E-Mail Addresses • Update Phone Numbers • Add Addresses • Manage Searchable Addresses • Add Associated Companies • Add Notes • E-Mail Administrator PROVIDER: ASSIGNMENTS This section provides an overview of the assignment screen: New Assignments 1. This tab allows you to View, Accept or Reject assignments that have been recently assigned to you: • Orders are assigned to a provider based on the zip code of the provider’s primary address. • If multiple locations are added, the provider must agree to travel to each location. • Provider may decline to work an order for any reason. o If a provider declines an order, the order will be assigned to the next closest provider or it may be open for claim by any provider in the near by area 2. Sort search in Ascending or Descending Order (drop down menu) by: • ID • Shoot Date • Due Date Quick Reference Guide 6
    • 3. View – This is the Assignment Summary page. This includes Assignment Information, Provider Compensation, Location, Shot Details and any messages created for this assignment. You will also have the Accept or Reject option on this page. 4. I Accept o Accepting will lead you to the Assignment Contract Page. o Either select I Agree or I Disagree at the bottom on Contract Page. 5. I Reject o Rejecting will remove the assignment from your New Assignments list. Active Assignments This tab allows you to manage current assignments: 1. View will provide assignment information and details 2. Upload Content option will bring you to the upload content review page, it will include: • Notes and Instructions • How to upload files • Important – Large File Upload Notice • You must confirm that you’ve read all notes and instructions before uploading files Quick Reference Guide 7
    • 3. Upon clicking I Agree, you can access the Content Uploader page, which will prompt you to select up to ten files to upload. . If you have more than ten files to upload, check the box below the page to remain on the uploader page after the current batch of files has been uploaded. Otherwise the site will automatically transfer you to the Content Manager page. 4. Click on the Upload Files button once you have selected files you wish to upload.  The system will ensure that you can only upload file types the assignment expects. Specifically, you can’t upload images to a video assignment and you can’t upload video to an image assignment.  When you upload content for a particular assignment by clicking the Upload button next to an assignment, the Ingest Manager will automatically select that assignment if the provider immediately proceeds to ingest to the content that was uploaded. Claimable Assignments 1. This page allows providers a list of all assignments that are up for claim 2. Sort search in Ascending or Descending Order (drop down menu) by: • ID • Shoot Date • Due Date 3. Accept or Reject assignment/s Quick Reference Guide 8
    • PROVIDER: CONTENT MANAGER This section provides an overview of the Content Manager: Content is displayed in two tabs: Uningested Content and Ingested Content. You can also filter what content is displayed on either tab via the Display Option at the top of the page. 1. Display Options: • Displays uploaded content [drop down menu] selection: o All Content o Content upload today o Content from the last 3 days o Content from this week o Content from the last two weeks o Content from this month o Content from the last two months o Content form the last three months 2. The Uningested Content section lists the details of all uningested content, including: Id, title, upload date, time, description, format and file details. • There are several things you can do with uningested content: o Ingest o Edit Info o Notes o Delete  You may also click the thumbnail to see a flash preview of the content if the content is video.  You can download the full version of video content by clicking the “Download Full Version” link.     • Ingest: 3. Click the [Ingest] button to proceed to the Ingest Manager screen. The Ingest Manager screen provides a summary of the Content to Ingest and enables the Provider to match content to an assignment with the Select Assignment option [Drop Down Menu provided]. 4. Selecting an assignment displays the shots for that assignment, and you have to ingest content to a particular shot by clicking the Ingest Content button next to the shot. A space is provided for notes, and you can then submit the ingest. 5. A second tab appears showing the shots that already have content ingested. Note that image shots can have more than one piece of content ingested to it, and that any piece of content can be ingested to more than one shot—even on the same assignment. Quick Reference Guide 10
    • Ingested Content 1. The Ingested Content tab allows the provider to ingest content to another item, given that the content has already been ingested before. 2. Click on Content on the Ingested Content tab to ingest images again. 3. The difference between Ingested and Uningested Content is that Ingested Content can not be edited. Quick Reference Guide 11
    •  The Content Manager – Uningested Content screen provides details of each Content Id including the title, uploaded date, time, description, format and file details.  This screen also provides a list of Existing Ingests by assignment and gives the Provider an option to Uningest.  Thumbnails are available and there is also an option to Download Full Version. Edit Info: The following Content Manager screen allows the Provider to edit detailed shot information to uningested content. The following fields can be edited: Title, Description, Create Date, Width, Height, Color Mode, Orientation, Type, Format, Duration, Audio and Shot Number. Quick Reference Guide 12
    • Notes: The following Content Notes screen allows Providers to Add Notes for the existing content. Delete: The Delete option will prompt a window confirming your action to delete the existing Content ID. Quick Reference Guide 13
