    • Objectives  Explain Camtasia Studio presentation software  Demonstrate step-by-step software use  Explain why Camtasia is a value added product
    • What is Camtasia Studio?  A screen cast presentation software for Microsoft Windows produced by TechSmith.  Camtasia captures video of anything on your screen.
    • Why Camtasia Studio?  User friendly  University Technology Office (UTO) support  Brings classroom to students on demand
    • Resources needed  Camtasia Studio license  Inexpensive gaming headset with microphone
    • On the left hand menu there is a Task List and you can select one of the following: • Record the Screen • Record the PowerPoint
    • I have selected ‘Entire Screen’ Click on the ‘Next’ button
    • This will bring up the ‘Recording Options’ window. I have selected ‘Record Audio’ while recording the screen.
    • The next window lets you ‘Choose Audio Settings.’ I have selected ‘Microphone.’
    • Follow the instructions on this Page for Audio. Use the lever to adjust the volume.
    • The ‘Begin Recording’ window includes start and stop instructions. You can click on the ‘Record button’ on the Camtasia Recorder or use the F9 key to begin recording. To stop click the ‘Stop Button’ on the Camtasia Recorder or F10 key to stop Recording.
    • Finally click on Record and choose either ‘Record the Screen’ or ‘Record PowerPoint’ it’s that easy.

    • To view your Streaming video, Click on the ‘Saved Icon’ in the clip Bin.
