    • AFRICAN SAFARI SOUTH AFRICA CHEETAH & BIG FIVE KRUGER
    • Thank you for choosing to travel with Roho Ya Chui. We take ex- ceptional care of our guests to make sure you experience a per- fect safari. This exciting adventure takes you to the probably best African sa- fari destinations to see cheetah and the Big 5. You will benefit from excellent private game reserves with outstanding wildlife sightings and enjoy the comfortable luxury of the safari camps. The transfers by light aircraft go directly to the bush camps where your safari adventure can start the moment you arrive. The game drives are led by highly skilled and qualified profes- sional guides with an incredible passion for the natural environ- ment they work in. ABOUT 2
    • Upon arrival at Richards Bay Airport you will be welcomed by our representative and a light aircraft transfer will bring you to Phinda Private Game Reserve, just a short flight away. Phinda Private Game Reserve encompasses an impressive 23 000 hectares (56 800 acres) of protected wildlife land in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Showcasing one of the continent’s finest game viewing experiences, Phinda is home to Africa’s Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), as well as 415 bird species. The reserve is particularly well known for close-up sightings of the elegant yet elusive cheetah, as well as the rare black rhino. DAY 1,2,3 PHINDA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE 3
    • With its seven distinct habitats, Phinda is often described as ‘Seven Worlds of Wonder’, a magnificent tapestry of woodland, grassland, wetland and forest, interspersed with mountain ranges, rivers, marshes and pans. Home to 1 000 hectares of Africa’s remaining rare dry sand forest, the reserve is situated in close proximity to the unspoiled beaches and spectacular coral reefs of the Indian Ocean, offering an unmatched combination of bush and beach adventures. Guests at Phinda experience unforgettable interpretive game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, led by professionally trained rangers and Zulu trackers, as well as a wide range of optional adventures in the bush and on the beach. Phinda offers outstanding cheetah sightings and is home to the rare black rhino. Set deep in the heart of a rare and beautiful dry sand forest, the spectacular Phinda Forest Lodge fuses spectacular architectural design with the ultimate in conservation principles. The creation of this awardwinning safari lodge was an exemplary exercise in building eco-sensitive structures with a light environmental footprint (not one tree was felled during construction). The 16 suites are built on stilts and appear to float between the forest floor and the towering torchwood trees. Inventively designed in a style affectionately known as Zulu Zen, each handcrafted, glass-encased suite boasts a minimalist flair that incorporates high-gloss wooden floors, richly tactile fabrics and brightly accented Zulu artefacts. The suites feature luxurious ensuite bathrooms with slate hand ba- sins and viewing decks where guests can drink in the sight of graceful nyala and duiker in the dap- pled shade of the forest. The lodge’s sparkling rim-flow swimming pool, as well as the expansive decks in its seating area, looks out onto panoramic views of an open meadow where animals fre- quently graze. A traditional African boma is enclosed with a wooden fence and offers lantern-lit open- air dining beneath a canvas of stars. Enjoy 3 nights at Phinda Forest Lodge including accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, refreshments on game drives, laundry, safari activities, 1-hour nature walks accom- panied by experienced armed trackers (subject to availability), emergency medical evacuation insur- ance, VAT, transfers to and from the lodge airstrip. • After morning game drive and breakfast a small aircraft transfer will bring you from Phinda directly to Kirkman's Private Game Re- serve in the Sabi Sand of Kruger National Park, famous for its out- standing Big Five and leopard sightings.  The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is famed for its intimate wildlife en- counters, particularly leopard viewing. Home to a host of ani- mals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), the Sabi Sand is part of a conservation area that covers over two million hectares (almost five million acres), an area equivalent to the state of New Jersey. DAY 4,5,6 KIRKMAN’S PRIVATE GAME RESERVE 5
    • With no boundary fences between the Sabi Sand and the Kruger National Park, this reserve benefits from the great diversity of animals found in one of the richest wildlife areas on the African continent, along with the additional benefits experienced on a private game reserve. Game drives traverse an area of 6 300 hectares (15 568 acres) and strict vehicle limits at sightings ensure the exclusivity of the game viewing experience. Sensitive off-road driving ensures that guests have the best possible view of any exceptional sighting and rangers are constantly in touch with each other to keep track of animal movements. The spirit of safari comes alive at historic Kirkman’s Kamp. Step back in time into the gracious early Transvaal atmosphere of this original 1920s homestead and marvel at the spectacular views of the un- spoiled landscape that surrounds the Sand River from each of the 18 guest suites. Rolling lawns carve out a niche in a wild and tumbling wilderness that host memorable game viewing in one of the most renowned Big Five wildlife regions in the world. Spacious sitting, dining and bar areas steeped in the colonial atmosphere of gracious style and luxury contain mementoes of a time long past, while the untamed wilderness outside whispers a promise of adventures not to be forgotten. A sparkling swimming pool boasts a magnificent view over the valley of the Sand River Enjoy 3 nights at Kirkman’s Kamp including accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, refreshments on game drives, laundry, safari activities, 1-hour nature walks accom- panied by experienced armed trackers (subject to availability), emergency medical evacuation insur- ance, VAT, transfers to and from the lodge airstrip.
