  • MethodologyFrom January 13th to January 23rd 2012 an online survey wasconducted among 1,403 randomly selected adult Canadiansthat own a smartphone or tablet and use texting, socialnetworking, video calling, email, instant messaging, or BBMwho are Angus Reid Forum panelists. The margin of error—which measures sampling variability—is +/- 2.6%, 19 times outof 20. The results have been statistically weighted accordingregion and gender. Discrepancies in or between totals are dueto rounding. 2
