Posting a Videocast Posting a videocast follows the same basic process as posting a podcast. One difference is that a videocast needs to be rendered into a viewable format that can be shared on the web. Most video editing software packages provide a wizard to make this easier. Using Freemake after installation14 • Go to YouTube or other video site (where downloads are legal), start playing video, copy URL • Paste URL into Freemake • Choose video type (MP4 for most instances (Convert to WMV if you are going to edit the video in Windows Movie Maker). • Use a higher resolution for editing or medium or lower for faster streaming • Download to a known location
