4. 4. GENEX Assistant Introduction

The GENEX Assistant (hereafter referred to as Assistant) is an expert radio test data post-processing software. It is used for analyzing and processing the test data (both drive test data and RNC data) of radio network air interfaces. The Assistant can also generate analysis reports. The Assistant helps network planning and network optimization engineers learn about network performance and efficiently analyze network problems. This helps improve their work efficiency.

The Assistant benefits customers with respect to the following aspects:

Quickly and efficiently obtaining the QoS of the entire network

Reducing the test workload required by network adjustment

Providing profound and effective problem location information.

Providing sharable analysis methods, and thus reducing the requirements for the skills of network optimization personnel

Contents
 5. 5.

The GENEX Shared must be installed before you install the GENEX Assistant. The GENEX Shared is a common component of Huawei GENEX network planning and network optimization solution software.

After the Assistant is installed, you must apply for a license. If the license expires, you must reapply for the license.

When performing tests, the projects that are created in the current version of the Assistant must be used. Otherwise, unexpected problems may occur.

The Windows XP operating system must be used. Otherwise, unknown problems may occur.

Precautions to be Taken When installing the GENEX Assistant Contents
