All eInfrastructure components are now inside the UNINETT organisation Norgrid under establishment, operational 2006 Nordic Data Grid Facility will be based on national intiatives as Norgrid, Swegrid and similar, and possibly dedicated Nordic resources. In the future Norway may buy computing resources from NDGF instead of buying own computers. EGEE (Enabling Grid for eScience in Europe) will create a grid infrastructure for LHC experiments in CERN Starting production in 2007. The Nordic countries participate.
  • FAS sub has worked with central coordination of adm applications for several years. Will now do research on remaining applications worth of centralisation. Universities do not make ICT strategies any more, just being part of organisation strategies with focus on education and research. Change in focus requires more resources for support of users. FAS is looking into rationalisation of ICT.
