OIPF in Eastern Europe • European Membership strong – 29 of 58 members – But Eastern European representation weak • Work of OIPF very relevant to Eastern Europe – High percentage of higher speed access networks – Vibrant and diverse IPTV market – Undergoing rapid expansion – But market is highly fragmented • Would benefit from more coordinated approach • Better interoperation and easier (ie lower cost) integration • Broader pool of deployable applications • No specific Eastern Europe IPTV standards initiatives exist – OIPF specifications can form common foundation for future Page 14 of Open IPTV Forum in IPTV EU © Open IPTV Forum e.V. 17
  15. 15. Becoming A Member Alt. 1. The OIPF welcomes as new members from any Company active in IP-TV space that feels able and willing to contribute towards the Forum Objectives. 2. Member companies will be expected to adequately staff the established work groups in order to drive the Forum work forward towards our goal. Membership process Review ..
