Problem Statement •  Emerging IP based VoIP and IPTV services are complex and delivering service directly to the customer/ subscriber handset, Set Top Box….. •  IP problems are very obvious – transient audio problems or highly visible video problems •  Network based test equipment •  Is expensive and, with the move to 10Gbit and higher interconnect speeds, getting more so •  Can’t see into the customer premise •  Need a cost effective and scalable solution that provides management to the customer premise 2
