  • The MEF announces for the first time, industry consent Carrier Ethernet definition, to shape the industry on requirements and framework of building the next generation of universal transport with Carrier Ethernet in providing ultimate broadband to business, residential and mobile users. It’s a monumental moment for the industry. As the MEF has ratified 11 Carrier Ethernet standards thus far in defining Carrier Ethernet. To further enforce and accelerate compliance adoption of Carrier Ethernet, the MEF has created the “Carrier Ethernet Certification Program” that certifies MEF’s Carrier Ethernet specifications – an industry defining move to accelerate worldwide compliance of Carrier Ethernet. The MEF will continue to lead the industry to accelerate Carrier Ethernet development worldwide from standards, compliance to deployment. The end!
