Dan Hohmann 5/10/2012 Summary The book, The Dark is Rising, is about a boy named Will. The book takes place in the southern part of England. It is winter and the worst one they have ever had. The group called the Old Ones is the light side and the dark side is just called the Dark Side. Will is on the light side and they are battling it out with the dark side. The Rider is one of the dark side and is following Will. There are the magic rings which Will is set out to find so that the light circle is complete and then the light side will destroy the dark side. But the attacks by the dark side are holding the light side back. Will Will get the rings and reunite the light side or will the dark side reveal an unmatched power? Read the book to find out.

Dan Hohmann 5/10/2012 Rating I rate this a book a 4and a half out of five because it had the old British language so it was hard to under stand but overall it was a very good book and the ending is awesome and I highly recommend it to people that love a good book.
