In the annual MedReps.com Medical Sales Salary Report, we consistently see a gap between what men earn and what women earn, so we decided to do a little more digging on the subject. It turns out, many occupations are affected by the gender pay gap. Studies show that in the U.S. women earn 77 percent of what men do — and that figure varies depending on location or industry. However, sex discrimination isn’t cause alone for the gender pay gap. In fact, the gap is a good indicator of the different experiences of men and women have in the workforce.
