We live on Earth.
Earth is tilted.
Earth orbits the sun.
It takes Earth 365 days, or one year, to orbit the sun.
We have different seasons
because Earth is tilted and
orbits the sun.
Each year we go through four seasons.
Winter
We celebrate Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day in the winter!
In the winter we keep warm by wearing sweaters, coats, gloves, and hats.
Winter Months
December
January
February
Spring
In the spring it rains
to help our flowers
and gardens grow.
In the spring we
celebrate Easter, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day.
Sometimes the weather is warm and sometimes it’s cool in the spring. We use an umbrella to stay dry.
Spring Months
March
April
May
Summer
In the summer it’s
hot and sunny. It’s time
for swimming.
In the summer we
can wear our bathing
suits, sandals, and
sunglasses
Summer Months
June
July
August
Fall
The weather cools in the fall
and all the leaves
fall from the trees.
