I entered an app contest (I did not win) at TU Delft. My app is called: 'Dare to ask and answer me here and now'; or #DTAProx. A combination of Dare To Ask and hyperlocal hype: Questions and answers with people in the same room now. Feel free to build this app for I cannot. Also feel free to award me for my idea :-)

  • 3. #DTA Prox in 300 words <ul><li>Everybody always has questions and always has answers. </li></ul><ul><li>I do not always know who has which question for me </li></ul><ul><li>I do not always know who has an answer to my question </li></ul><ul><li>I might not even know what my question is because it ’ s unclear what the gap in the mutual expertise is </li></ul><ul><li>I might have an answer but don ’ t know the question </li></ul><ul><li>I might have a question but don ’ t know who to ask </li></ul>
  • 4. <ul><li>This app combines all expertise in our social networks to create profiles with questions and possible answers of the people in each others proximity </li></ul><ul><li>On the screen I can see who who has which question and where this person is. </li></ul><ul><li>I can walk to this person and start the conversation </li></ul><ul><li>This app combines two recent hypes: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Dare to ask on twitter #dta is used to ask all sorts of questions. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Hyperlocal: information becomes more powerful with relevance. Now and here are becoming more and more important </li></ul></ul><ul><li>This app combines connections to social networks with added intelligence and the GPS/compass functionality </li></ul>

Use of #DTA Prox <ul><li>As a conversation starter </li></ul><ul><li>As a brainstorm tool </li></ul><ul><li>As a way to educate </li></ul><ul><li>Could also be used as a tool to bring people closer together </li></ul><ul><li>Could be used to get students to work in interdisciplinary teams </li></ul>
