  • 3. What can I do in Powerpoint? • You can create: – electronic slide shows, – web pages and photo albums – Even overheads transparencies, • Your presentation is made up of multiple slides all in a single file.
  • 4. Preparing a Power Point Show 1. Create Text for each slide in the presentation 2. Select a design to define the look of each slide 3. Use the Master slide to customize the design 4. Make individual changes for slides, such as a) Customized formatting b) Add graphics c) Include sound or video 5. Add slide transition 6. Add animation
  • 5. Typing on the slides Title Placeholder • Follow the on- screen instructions • Click and type in text into the placeholders
  • 6. Add other objects: • Clipart This is a text box - borders are created by user • Text Box • Autoshapes • Word Art Tables Charts Graphs Sound/Video
  • 7. Add a chart • Insert a new slide and select a layout with a chart. • Double click the chart placeholder to create your chart.
  • 8. Putting it all Together: Slide Show View • Use the Slide Show View to: • Preview and rehearse and, • Show your presentation to an audience. Your Show might include: • Transition between slides • Custom animation for clipart, diagrams and charts. • Play sounds and movies (only in slide show view)
