• A flexible, lightweight system that is tailored to e-learning and blended learning. A great value for price. Can be implemented more rapidly than other more complex learning management systems. Search-and-Learn is key feature. (highlighted in coming slide)
• Goal of slide: Show how SkillSoft has led the learning market with a multitude of innovations. Here’s a slide that shows what that long term commitment to R&D has produced. SkillSoft hasn’t necessarily been known as a “visionary” company, but it’s interesting to see how many of the products just how many innovative products have come from SkillSoft over the years: (DON’T feel compelled to cover everything on the slide! Choose two or three achievements to highlight based on interests the customer has expressed.) One of the earliest Software as a Service (SaaS) learning platforms, SkillPort, introduced in year 2000; Books24x7, a product line that we acquired in 2001, that leads the market by a wide margin in the number of full text books, summaries and reports; SkillSims, our business skills simulations, introduced in 2002; Open Learning Services Architecture (OLSA), introduced in 2005, is now one of the most widely adopted standards for integrating content into learning management systems and other technology systems; Books24x7 On-The-Go platform, introduced in 2006, that allows mobile access to on-demand performance support resources KnowledgeCenters, our line of targeted learning portals that combine a variety of learning assets, also introduced in 2006 Business Exploration Series, a collection of high impact, short-duration learning assets that address common business scenarios, 2006 Leadership Development Channel, an acquisition we made in 2007 that broadened our product line to include video programs from many of the world’s leading business figures and thought leaders, And this past year we brought Live Learning, a virtual instructor-led training environment to our customers though the NETg acquisition.
• Focused on learning and training companies needs - not conceived to go head to head with LMS products
