CPUT FOOTBALL FRENZY MARKET AND FUN DAY 1 March 2010 Presented by DSA (Department Student Affairs) RULES AND REGULATIONS • Exhibitors will be provided with chairs and tables, booked prior to the event . These will be available for collection from the area in front of the Student Centre ( Outside Van Schaiks bookstore) on the Cape Town Campus between 08h30-09h00. DSA will be there to check that all exhibitors receive the correct amount of exhibition furniture. • All exhibition furniture must be returned to this same area and checked by DSA, no later than 15h00. • Exhibitors are required to set up their own stalls , with items such as umbrellas or any other form of covering, posters etc
  • 4. • Exhibitors are responsible for their own decor, tablecloths, petty cash and whatever they need to have prepared in their stall. • There are limited electrical outlets in the Administration building, lecture theatres and Cafeterias. However the responsibility of bringing extension cord rests solely on the exhibitor. Try not to make use of electricity if at all possible. • To ensure the sale of fresh products to our students, FOOD PRODUCTS will be prepared on the morning of the 1 March 2010 Market Day and no sooner. • CPUT will not take responsibility for any loses, injury, medical emergencies arising from food preparation or damage to personal property, which could be sustained during the event. • The cleanliness of the stall as well as the area and more specifically the paving surrounding the stall rests with the stall holder i.e. in the necessary precautions to keep this area clean i.e. cover the ground with newspaper or plastic. • Money raised goes towards the individual stallholders. • CPUT is providing stallholders with the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products. However, we do not guarantee student visits to your stall. • The DSA (Department Student Affairs) will arrange entertainment for the day at the Piazza. This entertainment will take place between 13h00-14h00 on the 1st March 2010. • You are more than welcome to market your own stall on campus. The overall Event marketing will be dealt with by DSA and MCD. • If any exhibition is felt to be of an offensive nature, the stallholders will be required to leave Cape Town campus at the request of the event co-ordinators. • Students will not be allowed to sing, chant, toi-toi or even play loud music at their respective stalls. This tends to keep students away from neighbouring stalls and we have had major complaints about this in the past. • All exhibition stands will be allowed to set up in the area in front of the Student centre and around the Piazza area. • No tobacco or alcohol beverage sales permitted.
  • 5. • You will only be permitted to sell previously booked products as mentioned on your application form. No additions can be made to your booking once you have submitted the form. • No stall space will be allocated. Stalls will work on a first come, first serve basis. For the best spot, you need to be there early. • In case of rain, we will all, apart from the stalls with open fires, move into the student centre. • Lastly, this is an open campus. Neither the CPUT, nor the DSA can take any responsibility for loss or damage of equipment, exhibition material or personal possession of any sort. We undertake to provide security for the day. Booking Details Internal Stall holders needs to submit their forms, with the money attached to it, in person to Nosipo Tisani at Room 4.6 in the Student Centre. Cape Town Campus. External Stall holders can fax the forms trough to Nosipo Tisani at 021 460 3720. She will confirm your booking in writing. Payment is made in cash on the day.
